Flowery Winter

What flowers to pick for a winter wedding

As winter is coming and flowers are vanishing from our landscapes there are still a selection of species to pick for your winter wedding! But first you need to choose the color scheme matching your wedding day. Let’s start with traditional warm colors such as deep red, fushia and orange with amaryllis, wax flowers or ranunculus. Ranunculus exist in many shades and offers a large variety of choices to make the perfect wedding bouquet. For an iced white wedding the choice is going towards white gardenia and stephanotis with a touch of blue hydrangea for a frosted river atmosphere. We went for a wintery enchanted forrest look from a wedding by Nancy Liu Chin: fern, fresia, holly and white camellias for a dreamy bouquet in shades of green.  Of course many other species do bloom just in time for a winter wedding, work with your floral designer to make it happen. We wish you a flowery wedding! – With Love, Coline
